For consideration of your application for employment with us, you may be asked to provide information relevant to your application and/or employment with us, including but not limited to, your name, personal details (including date and place of birth, race, gender, marital status, national identification number and any such sensitive personal information, where applicable and allowed by local laws/regulations), contact details, education background, employment history, referees, and/or results of employment checks. Where you provide us with details of other individuals, it is your responsibility to obtain the necessary consent from such individuals prior to disclosing their personal information to us.
You further declare that all information provided to us is true and correct. In the event any of the information are found to be untrue, false or inaccurate, or any facts have been omitted, please note that it will be sufficient cause for the revocation of the consideration for employment or dismissal from the CIMB's service.
The information provided by you or collected by us will be used to assess and process your application of employment and to communicate with you on your application for the position applied or such other employment opportunities which may interest you. CIMB may also transfer and/or disclose your personal data between CIMB group companies, third party service providers, agents or independent contractors providing services to CIMB and regulators or enforcement agencies/authorities, as necessary to process your application and, should your application be successful, to administer your personnel record for your employment with CIMB. You hereby also consent that the personal information provided by you or collected by CIMB may be retained by CIMB as allowed by the relevant laws for the purposes mentioned herein.
Please note that for the purposes of your job application and/or your continued employment with us, your continued consent to the collection and processing of the information is mandatory unless otherwise expressly provided and/or agreed. In the event you withdraw your consent for us to collect and process your personal information, the relationship between CIMB and you may have to be discontinued.
Should you wish to limit the processing of certain aspects of your personal information, or wish to exercise your right to seek access to and/or to correct your personal information retained by us or have any questions or issues regarding this notice or your personal information, or have any complaints regarding the unauthorised use, disclosure or transmission of your personal information, please write in to Group Human Resource Division of CIMB or the Human Resource Department of the respective country. However, please be advised that in certain limited circumstances, your rights may be restricted pursuant to the respective personal data protection laws of the country concerned.
As personal data protection laws may differ in the respective jurisdiction where CIMB operates, you are advised to read the privacy notice issued by CIMB in the country in which you are applying, to understand the data protection laws that apply to information or data maintained by CIMB in the respective country. Please note that if you are successful in your application to join CIMB, you shall be bound by the privacy notice of CIMB in the country of employment.
